Wood Floors - all prices shown include VAT
There is something unique about the feel a wood floor gives in any type of property. The wood forms a beautiful base for the interior design and adds a sense of permanence to it, whether it's in a home or working area.
This is further enhanced when oils and soaps are used for the finishing and aftercare. This is an old fashioned method made modern and easy. The aesthetic appearance of an oiled wood floor is unrivalled as is the feel. The oil finish being in the wood means that you can still touch the wood, not a layer of plastic that is on top of the wood as is the case with water-based lacquers.
Never having to ever sand the floor as part of its maintenance program has obvious benefits in terms of mess and floor downtime. Oiled floors are also environmentally sound and simple to maintain.
Moving beyond the practical benefits, you can choose from Priming products if you wish to use a lye to prevent your floors going yellow or to create a denser colour finish.
From Treatments you can choose either:
- Pure oils, which are polished into the surface to give a dense, smooth finish. There are also coloured varieties for unique effects
- Soaps, which are used in almost their concentrated form to give a finish to softwoods that is the softest and most textural available
- Or oil lacquers that are applied as a surface treatment on sanded or pre-oiled wood to give a high build finish
The Cleaning range should be self-explanatory. Soaps are for everyday cleans and maintenance oils are for scratch repair or less frequent re-oils. Wood Cleaner is a detergent for stripping surfaces prior to re-oiling. |
